Within the Digital Product Management Team, our mission is to create customer love by delivering capabilities that enable simple and fast purchases, leading eCommerce experiences and improving speed to market. In this crucial role, the Associate Director, Digital Product Manager will be responsible for the digital product strategy and roadmap. This includes a focus on end to end customer experience, enabled by the right product capabilities and solutions, across web, mobile, contact centres and retail stores.

Focusing on Agile ways of working, engaging collaboratively with other teams across multiple business units to achieve Optus’ customer growth and retention, this role will contribute to our overall Optus eCommerce strategy that will see simple, personalised, digital led purchase journeys enabled across all our customer touchpoints.

 

Your day to day will consist of...

  • Strategy: Working with other Product Managers across various business channels in developing of a world-class digital eCommerce toolkit, delivering strategic capability in partnership in finding opportunities and benefits for new strategic digital e-commerce initiatives that will make up the overall product development and lifecycle roadmap.
  • Commercial: Continuously identify business advantages to form and refine Optus’ digital strategy. Demonstrate ownership of business strategy for new digital technologies to grow our ability in engaging and winning new customers.
  • Customer insights and analytics: Researching and understanding key trends from market, digital behaviour and from experimentation results to determine roadmap priorities in order to deliver customer-led experiences.
  • Capacity Planning: Continuously tailor our capacity on a quarter by quarter basis, applying prioritisation methods that line up with key team members and overall Optus value streams.
  • QBR and Roadmap: Drive roadmap alignment and work closely with Product Owners to define and present Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Industry knowledge and growth: Connect and network with other Digital Product Managers in other industries to apply the best methodology back into Optus.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager in eCommerce related channel and enabling digital purchase experiences, particularly in digital checkout feature enablement and optimisation.
  • Current internet technologies and trends knowledge and understanding of industry standards underpinned by prioritisation of CX methodologies.
  • Effective ability to work alongside engineering teams to validate technical solutions and identification of alternative solutions for the delivery of products to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Targeted identification and ability to build efficient solutions that balance customer and market needs with what is realistic, at reasonable cost, in reasonable time and with available resources.
  • Customer focused with a strong drive for achieving sales, building and maintaining effective relationships with key business partners and customers.
  • Innovative and creative problem solver, with strong analytical abilities, personable and approachable communication style with highly skilled presentation abilities.
