API Engineer

The role of this position is for an API developer engineer to design and develop API Interface and documentation who is familiar with the various tools used in the project such as Zabbix, ELK and python scripting. This allows them to integrate the applications between the various platforms seamlessly and ensure the interface contract documentation is properly documented down.

Make an Impact by:

• Understand the setup of Network Monitoring systems such as Zabbix and ELK, and effectively utilize Network Telemetry.
• Analyse and interpret collected Network telemetry data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate the SDWAN Monitoring system with other systems, such as ITSM systems (e.g., Service Now), automation tools (e.g., Ansible), and new emerging platforms.
• Work closely with Database Administrators (DBAs) and Dashboard designers to ensure seamless data integration and effective visualization.
• Utilize API knowledge to extract relevant information and organize data for API packaging
• Create scripts and programs using API available from devices and network controllers to retrieve, update, process and analyse data.
• Take responsibility for rolling out integration solutions to production, ensuring successful implementation and functionality.

Skills for Success:

• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in building system and data integration solutions
• Strong working knowledge of API integration methodologies.
• Experience in system integration, SOAP and REST API
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience working with databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Grafana.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
