Analyst, Test & Deploy - Direct Contract

Program Spring is a large business and IT transformation program to implement new processes and solution technology for Singtel and Optus. Program Spring Release 2 Singapore is part of this program to deliver the required capabilities for Group Enterprise Singapore.

 

In this role, you will manage, plan and execute all Testing phases and Deployment of both production and non-production environments. This role reports to Manager, Test & Deploy.

 

Testing

  • Assist in managing Testing Track (including working directly with external vendors) to the success of the program
  • Identify and implement appropriate test approaches to ensure the delivery of benefits is not compromised
  • Apply appropriate test measurements and metrics in execution
  • Monitor and ensure all test phases are defined with appropriate entry/exit criteria
  • Ensure effective issue escalation to senior management where there are significant threats to delivery
  • Implement a well-structured approach for test defect management and incident reporting
  • Ensure availability of appropriate test environments and data
  • Work within the overall program governance defined by Program PMO and contributes to formal project reviews at appropriate points in the project lifecycle

 

Deploy

  • Forward-plan deployment windows and software readiness for each non-production and production environment
  • Assist in managing production and non-production BOM (Bill-Of-Materials)

  • Assist in managing inter-releases dependencies

  • Communicate deployment plans to the necessary stakeholders and execute these plans

  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews

  • Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors

  • Review and implement making continual improvements for the release process

  • Coordinate Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists

  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks

  • Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists

  • Work directly with both internal stakeholders and external vendors in your deployment responsibilities

 

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 Years of IT Enterprise experience in a large and complex IT environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering Telco, Business, IT or application projects
  • Experience in implementing clear Test Strategies and audit and risk control policies across teams
  • Technical knowledge of system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts
  • Proficient in application delivery, ITIL implementation, and system planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Able to effectively engage and communicate with senior stakeholders being able to escalate and articulate critical risks to director level as required
