Application Support Lead (Java)

Application Support Lead is responsible to identify and resolve the application issues, in accordance to the organisation's application support procedures. The Support Lead shall assist the Manager in the coordination of developing potential application enhancements with the stakeholders.

 
 
Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve issues with software applications, following the agreed procedures
  • Create documentation of troubleshooting activities and resolutions
  • Assist in preparing periodic issue management report
  • Lead a small team of application programmers for application support activities
  • Manage team to ensure that all support requests/service requests are dealt with according to the agreed procedures
 
 
The ideal candidate should possess the following
  • At least 5 years of working experience in software development/maintenance
  • Possess relevant system development / maintenance experience using Java-related technologies
  • Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude, creative with excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.
  • Ability to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
