  • To provide legal direction and support, in particular litigation management, to various business units within the Singtel group of companies in Singapore and including across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Providing pro-active legal direction/strategy and support working with the relevant internal business units and external counsel for robust case management of legal suits,
  • Managing external counsel performance from appointment to satisfactory resolution of the dispute
  • Compiling and drafting quarterly litigation reports for a Board level committee
  • Having overall oversight of the litigation efforts of the credit management team for debt collection matters
  • Providing leadership and guidance as a subject matter expert on litigation related matters and providing workshops and trainings to business units
  • Taking a leadership role as part of the legal leadership team in initiating and driving legal department projects as required e.g., enhancing specific legal competencies, or increasing digitalization and productivity
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts and rendering advice to the various corporate services groups like Procurement, Finance, Tax, and Internal Audit
  • Providing legal advice and support for the HR team around employment matters, closure of offices, employee disputes etc
  • Supporting the Satellite business - Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating sales and procurement contracts with the assistance of a contract manager, disputes management advice 



  • Bachelor of Laws (from Singapore or recognised UK university). Admitted to the Singapore Bar
  • 10 – 12 years PQE, critical to have 3-4 years litigation experience either in a good law firm or managing litigation in an in-house counsel role, and general commercial corporate experience.
  • Strong litigation /disputes resolution experience
  • Some commercial drafting experiences  
  • Good people manager skills
