The Associate Project Manager is responsible for the managing and implementing of small scale IT projects with quality, within scope and to ensure deliverables are on time and conform to processes and standards meeting customer’s requirements.




Project Delivery

• Execute the project tasks meeting schedules, quality and within budget,

• Participate in project plans, risk management plans, milestones and deliverables in consultation with business users and developers

• Prepare project documentation conforming to standards and procedures

• Review program codes /walkthrough

• Plan and execute System Integration and User Acceptance Test Activities

• Plan and execute the Installation and Implementation activities

• Plan and execute Conversion and Data migration activities

• Plan and support post implementation support activities

• Build project schedules, quality plans, budgets, and communication and risk management plans

• Oversee the implementation of the project on a daily basis with regard to schedules, manpower and quality

• Manage the implementation of the project on a daily basis with regard to schedules, budget, manpower and quality

• Assist with regular reporting on project status

Customer Relationship

• Build relationships with users, technical staff to resolve issues associated with systems implementation

• Clear and open communication with customers on project issues or clarifications

Team Management

• Initiate, organise and attend project meetings and ensure project teams are kept fully informed about project progress, tasks and involvement

• Lead and provide guidance to the team members /developers

• Plan and track the tasks assigned to the team members/ developers


The ideal candidate shall possess the following


• 6 years IT experience with 2 years as a Team Lead

• Experience in the development, implementation and support of information technology projects in a range of organizations

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent

• Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude, creative with excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.

• Able to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship

• Proficient in written and spoken English

• Able to travel as required
