The Associate Director will be supporting the Sales Director in leading, managing and coordinating the Business Development activities for Enterprises and Government (EAG) sector and our partnership, particularly, on Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs) partnership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate the strategies and action plans for Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs) to drive Singtel growth areas, such as 5G, Multi-Edge Access (MEC), Software Defined Network (SDN) etc., to increase new sales and partnership engagement and expand market share into Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs).
  • Engage with the various Account Managers (AM) from Key EAG accounts to drive growth product revenue targets and market share, as well as mindshare in the Education segment.
  • Identify and develop sales revenue, especially on growth areas, pipeline for Singtel offerings in IHLs as well as other sectors that may be able to leverage on IHLs.
  • Support the Sales Director to lead, shape and capture IHL’s mindshare and market share in areas of EAG’s focus, talent acquisition and ecosystem partners.
  • Work closely with Government agencies to support IHLs in terms of grants/ supply of talents into the industry.
  • Formulate an ecosystem of partners for IHLs.
  • Formulate a Go-To-Market (GTM) together with IHLs to approach companies for co-creation/development of use cases and projects.
  • Lead new business presentations and proposals, and highly experienced at driving and working with product house, delivery teams, solution specialist team, presales, and account sales teams to foster cross collaboration as well as partnering with 3rd Party Solution Providers and/or partners to drive and execute on the GTM plans.
  • Support alignment within SingTel, IHL and partners on product strategy and GTMSupport internal expansion strategy for Centre of Digital Excellence (CODE) and talent pool within Singtel.


New Business Generation

  • Engage business development with customers aligned with Singtel 5G strategies to drive new growth areas, in key IHLs.
  • Lead virtual teams across various key internal stakeholders to bring together and explore viable solutions and appropriate response to tender/RFI/RFQ/CFC requirements.
  • Working with various internal teams to formulate value propositions and product positioning to create differentiation.
  • Execute lead generation activities and promotions to drive awareness and accelerate adoption.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with complementary technology and marketing partners to develop new opportunities, joint business plans and value propositions.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing strategies by being a participant in quarterly, annual, and ad hoc planning discussions.


Market Development/Thought Leadership

  • Keep abreast of key trends affecting the business – new development in the government sector, progress of commercial enterprises and development in the market environment specific to IHLs.
  • Ability to create alignment both internally and externally for win-win for Singtel, IHLs, Govt and partners.
  • Must possess a strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand and solve pain points.
  • Possesses strong critical reasoning skills; Able to provide meaningful, well-reasoned critiques and suggestions on the direction of a variety of initiatives.



  • Degree Marketing, Business, Engineering, or Computer Science with 5 or more years in sales or business development experience.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in Telco/ICT industry.
  • Experience in working and driving solutions with Partners and Solution Providers.
  • ICT / telco knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Share-point, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to formulate, write and succinctly communicate our value, strategy, and proposed solution on client opportunities.
  • Technical and/or operational background with experience managing projects.
  • Self-driven, aggressive, and energetic.
