Telco+, is a joint initiative (created as a new Strategic Business Unit) between Singtel and NCS to help telcos address their transformation needs to evolve into future digital telcos. The aim is to help telcos improve on operational efficiency and leverage insights-driven data to deliver enhanced customer experiences as well as to provide them enhanced capabilities to serve their enterprise customer segments. With the combined capabilities of Singtel and NCS’ expertise in digital and technology services, the new SBU has bold ambitions to be the service provider of choice for Telcos around the Asia Pacific and Middle East in helping them to re-invent themselves.

 

Position Summary
Reporting to Partner, Global Sales, the Associate/ Director, Commercial will provide support to bid teams in large and complex pursuits that cover infrastructure, applications and business process outsourcing. The individual will also play a key part in contracts drafting and negotiations as well as provide general business mgmt/finance support to Telco+


Key Responsibilities
•    Provide Commercial Management support to all Telco+ projects and engagements
•    Partner with NCS Commercial, Solutions and Finance teams on large scale and complex deals
•    Support pursuit teams in commercial modelling for winning proposals 
•    Lead negotiation with third party suppliers to achieve better commercial outcomes
•    Draft, review and negotiate key project documents e.g. statements of work, change orders/ variation agreements etc
•    Identify contractual risks/ issues/potential disputes proactively on projects and propose solutions to management to mitigate such risks/issues.
•    Support Telco+ project teams in key meetings with clients and subcontractors over main issues relating to contractual matters. 
•    Strategize with leaders prior to client negotiations and support the Telco+ project teams in negotiations with the client representing the company’s interests.
•    Be a key leadership team member of the bid management and pursuit teams
•    Assist the project team to track that the project is on budget, payment terms are adhered to and margins are not eroded and take the initiative to address such issues. 
•    Monitor and report on major contract fulfilment on a monthly basis and other necessary reporting tools. 
•    Create policies, templates, guidelines, packaged knowledge, toolkits, processes and procedures as necessary to enable Telco+ with appropriate knowledge and tools to support projects.
•    Conduct training to align the project teams on commercial management practices and processes as well as risk management

 

The ideal candidate should possess:
•    Finance or business degree or equivalent
•    More than 12 years in a similar role in large services organisations 
•    Experience working with project teams on large and complex IT contracts, with multi-party stakeholders
•    Excellent financial modelling skills preferably with budget planning and management skills
•    Demonstrated business /commercial acumen and ability to drive successful outcomes
•    Strong negotiation skills
•    Effective problem- solving skills with excellent judgment
•    Analytical thinker, Self-starter and resourceful
•    Create thinker who can innovate new business models
•    Good interpersonal skills
