The Associate Director, GDC Business Management, provides business, financial and strategic planning support across the STT Global Data Centres (STT GDC) portfolio. This role partners with the Head of GDC Business Management to monitor performance, drive value creation initiatives, and ensure robust governance across its subsidiaries and joint ventures.
The role requires strong deep finance and capital management expertise, sharp business acumen, and strong stakeholder management skills, acting as a key liaison between GDC entities, Finance, Operations, and Group functions to enable informed decision-making and execution of Group strategies.
Make an Impact by
- Support the Head of GDC Business Management in conducting strategy formulation, financial analysis, performance reporting, and forecasting for all STT GDC entities, ensuring accurate and timely information for the Group and market.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and business performance insights for senior leadership and Board discussions.
- Lead or coordinate Business Performance Reviews (BPRs), providing actionable insights to improve business outcomes.
- Partner with GDC Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Assist in developing and implementing STT GDC strategies, including initiatives to leverage Group synergies across Singtel, Nxera, and other business units.
- Support value creation initiatives, including capital management, operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and revenue growth programs.
- Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis, identifying trends, strategic assets, and adjacent opportunities to enhance GDC growth and value.
- Assist with M&A, investment reviews, and strategic expansion projects, providing analysis, due diligence support, and recommendations.
- Prepare Board and Committee packs, including analysis of key agenda items, financial performance, operational KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for engagement initiatives with GDC subsidiaries and joint ventures, promoting adoption of Group-wide best practices and governance standards.
- Track and follow up on Board resolutions and management actions, ensuring timely execution and reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, regulators, and government agencies in GDC markets.
- Support internal control and process improvement initiatives, partnering with Group Internal Audit and other functions to enhance governance and compliance.
- Assist in tracking OPEX/CAPEX, ROIC metrics, and project/business case performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives and operational plans.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Business Management teams across STT GDC to deliver integrated business management support.
Skills for Success
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Accounting / Marketing or related disciplines.
- >10 years working experience.
- Telco business knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience in mobile and/or fixed communications products/services.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, financial matters, business valuation, financial.
- Ability to provide strategic direction and advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff
- Able to work independently, play a hands-on role and exercise flexibility in a challenging and fast-paced environment
