Associate Director, IT Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities:

Management and Leadership
a)    Reporting to Director, IT, the role would be managing the IT Infrastructure team (less Service Desk and Asset Management Team), ensuring the Corporate IT Infrastructure of NCS are operationally readiness, resilient, reliable and scalable.

b)    Management of NCS Corporate IT infrastructure services globally. The scope would include (list is not exhaustive) Server, Network, Database, Storage, Cloud, IT Infra Architecture.

c)    Be involved in management the budget, planning the utilization of resources, identifying gaps in methodologies to provide continuous improvement.

d)    Mentor direct reports, set suitable KPIs, ensuring the entire Ops team is able to deliver against agreed KPIs

e)    Plan resource allocation, on-call rosters, schedule maintenance operations, oversee major incidents 

IT Infrastructure  
a)    Be accountable for defining or improving methods for configuration management, incident management, change management, problem management, service level management and IT service continuity management.

b)    Ensure that all the data, network access and systems are secure and protected

c)    Updating, developing, and implementing IT infrastructure policies, SOPs and Work Instructions relevant to NCS

d)    Ensure platform compliance, reliability and uptime according to agreed SLAs

e)    Maintain and support technical issues under the care of IT Infrastructure team

f)    Perform regular backing up of systems

g)    Studying current systems, identifying areas that need improvements or overhauls and implementing these

h)    Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT infrastructure projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages

i)    Evolve the operational tooling framework towards automation, reduction of repetitive manual tasks, proactive monitoring and incident detection, system self-repair 

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, ICT
• At least 5 years of experience in Leading IT Infrastructure operations team   
• Familiar with, data networking, system operations, data centers, servers, storage, client computing and production control gaps, Cloud computing, computer networking management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Stack (Azure, Azure AD, server re AD, Active Directory, SQL), Cloud Management (Azure, AWS), networking (CCNA, CCNP is an added advantage) and management of CyberSecurity tools E.g. Windows Defender, McAfee, BeyondTrust) knowledge is an added advantage
• Has experience working with IT Infra tools (Solarwinds, SCCM) 
• Strong interpersonal / communication skills
• Strong organisational ability with attention to details
• Ability to multi-task
• Results Oriented and able to work independently
• Ability to work well under pressure
