Singtel Investor Relations is a recognised leader in investor communications both in Singapore and Asia.  We are a compact team with operations in Singapore and Australia delivering on-time and accurate information to investors/analysts and internal customers.

 

The chosen candidate will support the Senior Director of investor relations to develop and roll out Singtel’s investor relation strategy, with the goal of raising the appeal of our shares and optimising share price.

 

Make an Impact by:

 

  1. Investor Communications and Marketing

 

a) Financial results

  • Research and develop key messages and materials for financial results.
  • Work closely with other key functions across the Group to ensure messages are consistently, clearly and effectively communicated.
  • Continuously enhance the reporting of the Group’s financial and business metrics to reflect.
  • Plan and manage logistics leading up to results announcement.
  • Benchmark Singtel results performance to comparable telcos/ analyst expectations.

 

b) Stakeholder management

  • Build and manage strong relations with research analysts, institutional investors and retail investors.
  • Active and regular investor and analyst engagement through 1-on-1 meetings, conferences and roadshows.
  • Manage communication program to investors (e.g. AGM, day-to-day queries).
  • Compile analysts’ consensus and where necessary provide feedback to analysts.
  • Track, review analyst reports and summarise for internal stakeholders.  Where necessary, seek clarifications and corrections.
  • Support treasury function in engagements with rating agencies/ credit investors.

 

d) Investor targeting & surveillance

  • Keep a clear pulse on matters such as market activities, financial trends, competitor behavior and shareholder issues.
  • Co-ordinate and analyse share register searches for notable movements in and out of the stock.
  • Segmentation of investor base for more effective marketing efforts

 

e)  Annual report

  • Review and enhance annual report contents to ensure best practice disclosures.
  • Assist in annual report production and distribution.

 

2.  Internal communications

 

  • Communicate investor feedback/views on the stock to management.
  • Communicate industry/competitor developments to management & board members.

 

3.  Retail investor engagement

 

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that caters specifically to retail investors, focusing on Singtel’s corporate actions and financial performance.
  • Gather insights from internal and external stakeholders to develop content that resonates with the investor community.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to the Investor Relations team to measure the effectiveness of social media activities and inform future strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in social media within the context of investor relations, implementing innovative strategies to maintain Singtel's competitive edge.

4. Other Investor Relations responsibilities

  • Partner Sustainability function to engage key ESG ratings agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain financial models and forecasts.
  • Continuously optimise infrastructure and processes to promote ‘best practice’ investor relations.
  • Support development of junior members of the team.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Manage and enhance Investor Relations web pages.
  • Keep abreast of SGX Listing Requirements for corporate compliance.

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Degree in any discipline
  • At least 8 years of working experience in a communications, financial analysis or research role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
  • Knowledge in accounting and exposure to equity capital markets will be an advantage
