Make an Impact by

 

  • Lead the overall day-to-day work of the security operations center ensuring events and/or incidents are detected and responded to in adherence to established process as well as procedures.
  • Recruitment, hiring, managing, supporting and career development to retain top SOC talents.
  • Institute strong governance to lead and direct the team with standard processes and workflows. Ensure that existing procedures are followed and that all procedures are documented in accordance with guidelines. Drive innovation towards Singtel’s values and effectiveness.
  • Lead efforts to build, administer, and fine-tune processes to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Drive Client Satisfaction, Retention and Growth.
  • Lead Singtel’s Security Operations Center (SOC) solutions including scope development and service delivery commitments.
  • Identify and define service delivery risks and offer, own, and manage risk mitigation strategies. Identify chronic operational and security issues, and ensure they are managed appropriately.
  • Provide overview of operational challenges, risks and opportunities to leadership team. Manage and escalate roadblocks that may jeopardize security monitoring operations, infrastructure, and SLAs.
  • Guide, influence and provide thought leadership within SOC operations and engineering team.
  • Review and ensure delivery of monthly deliverables to customers.
  • Escalate issues to leadership in a timely manner with appropriate information regarding risk, action times and root cause analysis.
  • Produce and review key performance indicators (KPI) of SOC performance and distribute executive metrics.
  • Play a significant role in long-term SOC strategy and planning, including initiatives geared toward operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration within a matrixed organization to ensure timely, consistent, and high quality 24x7x365 service delivery.
  • Forecasting operational capacity and building annual operating plan to keep up with the growth of the MSS business
  • Team skills development, quality assessments, and implementation of continuous improvement measures that scale worldwide.
  • Project leadership in the areas of security configuration management, threat detection, response automation, and correlation, and service delivery governance.
  • Process development that supports customer objectives and scales Singtel Cyber Security services beyond a region
  • Delivery and enablement support to product and sales organization to drive customer retention, growth, and positioning of related Singtel customers in the market.
  • Developing operational schedules and coordinating regional coverage.
  • Drive outcome of an outstanding customer experience that sets Singtel apart from its competitors.
  • Providing guidance to direct reports, typically comprising supervisors and analysts
  • Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
  • Approving requests for investment to a certain level of authority
  • Managing financial budget for the function
  • Guiding the talent identification and development processes for a group or function
  • Interacting with upper management for reporting
  • Working with upper management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning
  • Take a transformational and continuous improvement approach.
  • Work under pressure with tight schedules and aggressive rollout plans

 

Skills for Success 

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant field of study
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as in security roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience managing security operations, SOCs or equivalent security programmes
  • Experience in Enterprise security solution management, intrusion analysis, incident containment, and response
  • Leadership Skills Strong leadership abilities to manage security teams effectively and efficiently.
  • Communication Skills Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and internal departments.
  • Analytical Skills Ability to analyze security data, identify trends, and implement proactive security measures.
  • Compliance Knowledge Understanding of security regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
