Reporting to the Director of Test Management Office (TMO), this role is responsible for managing all testing services and deliverables for all projects across the SingTel IT group engaged by TMO. The incumbent will be accountable for the provision of TMO testing services to support successful project delivery.

 

This is a strategic lead role working with various teams to ensure delivery outcome meets all agreed objectives. The incumbent will have to demonstrate a high level of strategic thinking along with exceptional analytical ability and have a structured approach to managing complex delivery challenges in the E2E testing life-cycle.

 

In this role, the incumbent will have to support and manage testing engagements by providing expert consultation on industry best-practice testing methodologies with the ability to provide strategy and direction to support all testing functions.

 

The incumbent will be expected to identify the gaps in existing TMO testing process and make recommendations to improve test service delivery across all domains within Group IT, Networks and the Business Units. Working closely with existing managed services teams to ensure alignment of resources and services to support the E2E testing process.

 

This position will interface directly with the Group IT management, vendors, and project delivery teams to explain their role in creating a testing best practice within Group IT/Singtel. The incumbent will demonstrate outstanding stakeholder management (internal and external), problem solving and communication skills.

 

The role is required to be the key escalation point to internal and external onshore and offshore testing teams to resolve key delivery challenges to ensure project delivery adheres to their scope, schedule, and budget.

 

The incumbent is expected to contribute to the TMO process function to support all E2E testing, including Agile/Sprint testing, System Integration Test, Performance Testing and Test Environment Management.  Managing testing timeline and budget, defining, prioritising planning and assisting in the coordination of all technology testing change and ensuring that it is in line with the business and technology strategic roadmap will be a major part of this role.

 

The role is required to proactively identify and manage project dependencies and critical path within the TMO project pipeline and provide effective resource management and planning.

The incumbent must have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to articulate technical issues in a business context, and have demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills to build and maintain good working relationships with all levels of management.

 

The role is required to create performance metrics to monitor, report and assess all TMO deliverables; these metrics will be used for management reporting, vendor management, and for driving continuous improvement in the TMO department.

 

Requirement:

  • Degree qualified in business management, IT, computer software, electronic or computer engineering fields
  • Extensive (Minimum 10 years) experience in E2E testing life-cycle with direct experience managing various stages of test phases within the life-cycle.
  • Extensive experience in managing testing issues in complex environments, with the ability to differentiate between testing and non-testing root-causes.
  • Significant experience in an IT transformation environment, with demonstrated experience in leading change without direct line management control.
  • Experience with software delivery methodology standards, including but not limiting to waterfall, OOA/D, and unified/agile
  • Experience in managing culturally diverse & remote located teams. 
  • Good knowledge of architecture standards in SDP, middleware, portals, content management systems
  • Experience in managing complex organization of internal and external resources to deliver upon organizations technical objectives.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Visio and Project
  • Understanding of Test Management.
  • Understanding of Financial Management.
  • Understanding of HP tool suite
  • Good Understanding of EAI solutions.
  • Understanding of Testing Methods, Tools and Framework
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of explaining to non-technical managers the implications of various technology-related initiatives/options.
