What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of
- Establishing the strategic and financial plan for Optus Consumer Product, coordinating with main business areas and the Strategy team.
- Identifying key market opportunities, devising product strategies to capture these benefits.
- Translating strategic plans into financial plans (AOP) with business agreement.
- Ensuring financial performance is measured, understanding key drivers of variances.
- Forecasting financial performance accurately and identifying risks with mitigation plans.
- Evaluating all material pricing decisions with positive returns and appropriate sign-offs.
- Developing business cases for capital investments to guarantee a positive return on investment.
- Delivering ARPU and profit growth in line with targets.
- Proactively measuring profitability across key products, channels, and customer cohorts.
- Providing high-quality commercial support to all collaborators, ensuring clear and concise findings for decision-making.
- Managing costs related to the Optus Consumer Product portfolio and finding opportunities to reduce costs.
- Ensuring appropriate internal controls exist and implementing preventative controls where financial risks exist.
- Assuming responsibility and being accountable for important tasks, motivating and involving team members to reach goals.

- Demonstrated ability in developing strategic and financial plans for large-scale consumer products.
- Outstanding skills in financial forecasting and performance measurement with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong ability to assess pricing decisions and business justification of capital investments.
- Demonstrated success in delivering balanced profit growth and measuring profitability.
- Excellent business partnering skills with the ability to represent the team at senior levels.
- A proactive approach to managing costs and finding opportunities for cost reduction.
- A detailed understanding of maintaining an adequate internal control environment.
