This job role is supported by the structured development programme for mid-career professionals under the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative, led by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Workforce Singapore (WSG). 

 

The programme aims to provide Singaporeans aged 40 and above with a tech-related job while being reskilled or upskilled. Mid-career professionals will have the assurance of being employed in a paid job while attending structured Company-Led Training for in-demand tech skills. They will also gain experience in a tech role to tap into the good careers that the infocomm sector offers.

Responsibilities:

  • To project manage the cable pulling and recovery operations of underground optical fibre and copper cables carried out by contractors.
  • Issue and manage materials required for the projects.
  • Familiarize with the relevant cable pulling / recovery contract documents and manage contractor teams closely to ensure proper pulling and recovery operation procedures and works safety /road safety procedures are practiced by contractors.

  • Manage timely return of balance / recovery cables (especially copper cables) by contractors to Singtel appointed Warehouse / Store accordingly to the set timeline.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisors or Engineers

Requirements:

  • GCE ‘O’ or Higher Nitec or Nitec qualification in Electronic and Communication field.
  • At least one year working experiences in telecommunication industry and have experience in managing outsource contractors
  • Candidate possesses Class 3 license is an added advantage.
