Make an Impact by:

  • Monitor the transport network closely and take remedial action on pro-actively and re-actively for the detected services and network infrastructure faults/degradations till case closure,
  • Execute the network changes of expansion, optimization, and upgrade, to meet the service needs and requirement by following the MOP (Method of Procedure) accurately,
  • Service impact analyse on scheduled service changes / faults / outage, and inform the relevant stake holders,
  • Perform the preventive and corrective maintenance like network device hardware and software upgrade,
  • Root cause analysis on the hardware and system faults by advanced trouble-shooting tools and skills. 
  • Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability Prepare the budgets and track the expenditures,
  • Document and update the production network information, incidents and events records,
  • Escalate the chronic/technically complex cases to Engineering / Vendors and follow-up till case closure,
  • Perform the other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic or relevant,
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Telecommunication industry
  • Goal oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skill, sense of urgency in executing operational duties to deliver high quality outputs,
  • Able to work independently and work well within the team in the most efficient manner,
  • Good technical skills of IP concept of LAN, WAN, VPN, and the relevant network protocols, such OSPF, BGP, ISIS, LDP, DHCP and Dark Fibre Structured Cabling, etc…,
  • Willing to be placed in 24x7 duty roster and performed the network change activities in silent hours.
