Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership on Copper recovery schemes and diversion works, from implementation to completion including verifying Contractor claims.
  • Ensure that target handover dates for all schemes are met.
  • Ensure the Contractors follow safety procedure in accordance to the work health and safety act (WHSA) and to use appropriate safety equipment so as to complete the assigned job efficiently and safely. 
  • Monitor, track and update contractor progress report, and provide regular update to Manager-in-charge on scheme status (implementation, issues, work progress and contractor claims).
  • Manage and resolve site issues with Contractors. Example: pipe block, pipe congestion, access issues and cable abandon verification.
  • Laise with building management and assist to facilitate contractors with them for the recovery and diversion works.
  • Liaise with internal parties and relevant department on any work-related issue.
  • Apply for manhole access for Contractors.
  • Issue material vouchers, for both issuance of materials to contractors and return of materials by contractors.
  • Check and verify contractor submitted claims.
  • Use of MARS / SAP / NGNIS / Streamline systems to fulfill requirements and responsibilities.
  • Attend to cable faults and arrange, coordinate follow-up on remedial actions planned.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned by Manager-in-charge.

 

The Ideal candidate should possess:

  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience.
  • Able to handle contractors well.
