Make an Impact by:

  • Oversee contractors in the execution of pipeline works, including the laying of new pipes, pipe upgrades, and maintenance within the assigned area.
  • Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with established operational procedures and engineering guidelines.
  • Manage timelines to ensure timely project completion, enabling cable laying and service delivery to customers.
  • Manage the maintenance of the pipeline network, attending to emergency service breakdowns both during and outside of office hours.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to safety procedures in compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act (WHSA) and use the appropriate safety equipment.
  • Conduct spot checks to identify potential safety hazards and ensure work sites display proper temporary road closure signage, in accordance with Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations.
  • Witness and certify pipe testing, ensuring pipes are fit for use before signing off for project acceptance.
  • Submit LTA Road opening applications and coordinate power grid and power gas Notification for Commencement of Earthworks (NCE) applications
  • Close all LTA applications once the final reinstatement or mill and patch work is completed by contractors.
  • Manage MARs applications for opening Netlink Trust manholes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues related to pipeline implementation and project progression.
  • Compile and maintain statistical reports on pipeline work performance, tracking progress and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Issue pipeline materials and manage contractor claim submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address pipeline project implementation issues and suggest improvements as needed.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field.
  • Preferably with 1 year working experience and holding Class 3C driving license.
  • Able to work during non-office hours to support network incidents and restoration.
  • Good working knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills, keen to learn and a team player
