Make an Impact by:

  • Responsible for Planning & Designing of pipe & fiber infrastructure, such as common duct networks (CDN) projects, new commercial & housing development and backbone Fibre Network.
    • To perform cab survey, identify capacity of each cab and prepare site survey report
    • To lead supervisors & technicians to support pipe and fiber project during implementation phase
    • Manage and resolve site issues related to pipe and fiber, coordinate with provisioning teams and contractors until completion
    • Ensure that target dates for all pipe & fibre planning are met before deadline
    • To manage and reduce cable wastage within 2% of total cable issued to contractor (ie; return & scrap)
    • To verify “As Built ” documentation and update in system for any planning route changes
    • Attend site meeting with other public bodies, private housing developers, building management, etc, in connection with underground infrastructure.
    • Liaising with Local Authority on Permit and other related documentation
    • Liaising with Building Management / Landlord on site access
  • To supervise technicians and contractors to execute all pipes/access fibre cable works in the area under his/her care in accordance with all established operation procedures
    • To lead site survey, site meetings with developers and consultant
    • To ensure all safety aspects been followed and executed according to Local Authority guidelines
    • To take ownership and manage contractor on pipe & fiber related work if have any change in routes
  • Take charge for proactively top up pipe & fiber when required
  • Any other adhoc duties assigned by the Manager

 

Skills for Success:

  • Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, and related engineering disciplines
  • 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge in infrastructure work (ie; Underground / In[1]building infrastructure)
  • Hands on experience in project execution planning
  • Managed multiple vendors at same period of time
  • Reporting skill using Microsoft software (i.e; words, power point, excel, etc)
  • Able to manage contractors effectively and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Able to commit on standby task for restoration / emergency works
