Make an Impact by:

• Support the transformation project for Singtel’s Carrier Ethernet Network (CE).
• Operate and maintain optical transmission network equipment for backhaul transmission system (e.g. SDH, PTN)
• Monitor and take remedial action on pro-actively and reactively detected services and network infrastructure faults till closure.
• Schedule and execute pre-planned operational activities such as preventive and corrective maintenance like network device hardware and software upgrade as well as new service provisioning and network optimization. 
• Liaise and coordinate with internal stake holders, providers and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults.
• Provide impact analysis and process review on scheduled changes / faults / outage on provider and internal networks (e.g. fiber cuts, fiber diversions, hardware failure…) 
• Documenting all Incidents and events through Incident ticketing system.
• Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability.
• Deployment of best practice configurations in existing infrastructure.
• Up keeping of IP network infrastructure information and records.

Skills for Success:

• Degree or diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems from a recognized institution. 
• Candidates with relevant working experience in the operations and management of Layer 2 transport networks of a global service provider will have added advantage.
• Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter and highly driven with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
• Goal and task oriented with good analytical skills and can delivery on tight timelines to deliver high quality outputs, effectively utilized team member to his/her full potential and motivates the team to work together in the most efficient manner.
• Willing to be available for 24 x 7 standby support and/or scheduled shift work.
