Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.
Are you passionate about enhancing the employee experience? Join Optus as Benefits, Recognition and Mobility Advisor and play a pivotal role in helping our people get the most out of what Optus has to offer.
You'll be the go-to expert for our Benefits, Wellbeing, and Recognition programs — driving day-to-day operations, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll also provide essential operational support for employee mobility and relocation needs, partnering closely with People & Culture teams to ensure a seamless experience for our people.
This is a hands-on, collaborative role where no two days are the same — from managing recognition award cycles and vendor relationships, to crafting communications, supporting the annual Benefits Expo, and ensuring immigration compliance across our mobile workforce.
Your day to day will consist of
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits and wellbeing enquiries, providing timely and accurate support via the AU Rewards drop-box and HR Assist
- Build and maintain relationships with external benefit providers, managing invoices, promotional campaigns, and vendor performance
- Manage and grow the Optimiser Viva Engage community, promoting awareness and driving engagement across Optus
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Comms, and People & Culture teams to align messaging and elevate the overall employee experience
- Support the planning and delivery of the annual Benefits Expo and other employee-facing events and workshops
- Stay across industry trends and conduct market analyses to ensure our Benefits and Recognition offerings remain competitive and fit-for-purpose
What makes you perfect for the role?
- Prior experience in a Benefits, Recognition, or Mobility role — with a solid understanding of employee rewards programs, processes, and considerations
- Confident stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to consult, influence, and communicate effectively across all levels of the business
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to manage data, reporting, and program administration accurately and independently
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and ideally experience with Rewards Gateway or similar recognition and benefits platforms
