The Contract Pricing Validation Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that customer contracts are accurately translated into billable configurations, supporting Optus Enterprise & Business customers.

This role focuses on validating complex contractual pricing, ensuring billing feasibility, and supporting accurate system configuration across multiple billing platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Legal, Product, IT, and Billing teams to ensure pricing integrity, prevent revenue leakage, and minimise customer disputes. The role also contributes to continuous improvement through root cause analysis and quality assurance activities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Employees will be required to work according to the operational hours of the overseas operations they support.

 

 

Make an Impact by

 

  • Validate contract pricing – Analyse customer contracts to ensure pricing is accurate, billable, and aligned to billing system capabilities
  • Support contract pre-reviews – Conduct pre-signature reviews to identify pricing gaps, discrepancies, and billing requirements
  • Ensure billing readiness – Capture and translate contract pricing into structured database inputs for downstream billing processes
  • Manage configuration requests – Initiate and coordinate billing rate plan builds with IT and configuration teams
  • Perform quality assurance – Conduct peer reviews and validation checks to ensure accuracy and prevent billing disputes
  • Approve contracted credits – Review and approve credit requests in line with contractual obligations and revenue protection principles
  • Resolve enquiries – Manage and respond to internal enquiries and requests via designated portals within SLA timelines
  • Maintain data integrity – Ensure all billing and pricing data is accurately recorded and maintained across systems
  • Drive continuous improvement – Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process enhancements
  • Support training initiatives – Contribute to team knowledge sharing and training sessions to improve overall quality and performance

 

 

Skills for Success

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, billing operations, contract management, or pricing validation
  • Strong understanding of telecom products (e.g. Mobile, Fixed Voice, Data) and how they translate from contract to billing
  • Experience analysing complex contracts, pricing structures, and billing requirements
  • Familiarity with billing systems and configuration processes is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in quality assurance, validation, or audit-related activities
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and evolving environment
