The Billing Team Lead is responsible to oversee the billing team operations by delivering accurate, compliant, and customer-focused billing outcomes for our customers. You'll manage a team of 5-15 specialists while driving task completion, quality excellence, and process efficiency. This position will play a critical part in ensuring our high-volume billing operations run seamlessly while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Employees will be required to work according to the operational hours of the overseas operations they support.

 

 

Make an Impact by:

 

  • Lead & develop your team – Coach, mentor, and manage performance of billing operations specialists
  • Ensure billing accuracy – Oversee provisioning, production, contract validation.
  • Drive timely delivery – Manage workflows to meet SLAs, billing cycle deadlines, and operational cut-offs
  • Resolve customer issues – Handle escalations, reduce disputes, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Improve processes – Identify and implement efficiency improvements and defect reduction initiatives
  • Maintain compliance – Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and internal policy requirements
  • Collaborate across teams – Work closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Credit & Collections, and IT teams
  • Provide insights – Deliver operational reporting and analytics to support decision-making

 

 

Skills for Success

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field, or a professional accounting qualification
  • 5–8 years of experience in billing operations, revenue operations, or similar high‑volume transactional environments
  • 2–3 years of experience in leading a team or operating as a senior subject matter expert within a Finance, Billing, or Customer Service function
  • Comprehensive understanding of end‑to‑end billing processes across billing platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Amdocs, or equivalent systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) with solid working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly effective communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling clear and confident engagement across multiple levels
  • Demonstrated ability in time management and prioritization, with experience handling multiple monthly deadlines and resolving issues efficiently
  • An adaptable and collaborative team player who performs well in dynamic environments and maintains a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset

 

 

Good to Have

 

  • Telecommunications, utilities, or subscription-based billing experience
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or process improvement certification
  • Experience supporting system migrations or transformation initiatives
