Key Responsibilities:

 

Bidding/Solutioning

  • Attending to customer meetings to gather requirements and raising any clarification
  • Providing budget and sizing based on solution
  • Evaluating tender specifications and discussing sizing and scope of work with Solution Architect and/or Technical Presales to determine the optimal solution


Vendor Engagement

  • Identifying relevant vendors and verifying potential partnership/engagement model ("protection")
  • Reviewing scope of initial solution with BD/vendors
  • Negotiating with vendors on pricing
  • Providing vendors with standard Teaming Agreement/Dealreg template
  • Obtaining tender intelligence from vendors and communicating with presales team to optimize bid strategy


Internal Stakeholder Coordination

  • Working with Solution Architect and/or Technical Presales on pricing and negotiation
  • Following up with all internal stakeholder for cost revision


Cost Estimation

  • Compiling and verifying vendor and internal service costing to complete tender cost schedule
  • Conducting price comparison based on vendor provided information and suggesting solution improvement


Internal Reviews/Proposal Preparation

  • Attending internal reviews and clarifying questions (e.g., service costs, solution design, and any special arrangement with vendors)
  • Supporting proof of concept ("POC") by arranging loan of equipment from vendors
  • Preparing cost summary/financial lite for proposal
  • Providing CV and customer references for AM to compile for proposal


Post-Tender Submission

  • Providing clarification on solution and breakdown of pricing post-tender submission
  • Revising price schedules based on changes to BOM


Project Handover/Kickoff

  • Communicate with AM/Project Team on implementation plans and assist in preparation of kickoff
  • Assign costs for project based on proposed cost sheet to various SDCs
  • Attend and support internal/external kickoff sessions


Operational

  • Track progress of projects and assist delivery team to liaise with vendors (e.g., to expedite project schedule)
  • Handle queries from PM/PD/SDD on costing during delivery stage
  • Support any internal purchases (e.g., 'N' projects) by negotiating with vendors and obtain approval
  • Attend external events (e.g., product knowledge acquisition, vendor functions)
  • Liaise with vendors/partners for future opportunities

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven sales, business development or account management track record in  product or services sales
  • A degree or higher in IT or related field
  • Technical knowledge in the areas  of  hardware  server , storage  and security product knowledge
  • High degree of self-motivation, strong commitment and result oriented
  • Good Interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good knowledge in MS Office Applications especially Excel, PowerPoint
  • Dedicated & excellent team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • To be an independent and resourceful team player with a genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent support to internal and external customers.
