Operating in a technically complex, dynamic and heavily regulated industry, Optus Secretariat is recruiting a part-time Company Secretariat Assistant to support the Assistant General Counsel, Corporate and Secretariat (AGC) in providing company secretariat services to the Optus Group of companies, including its principal operating entity.
 

We are seeking a 2 - 3 day a week board coordinator! Key to success in this role will be skills in managing multiple active matters, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and work independently.
 

Your day in the life at Optus
 

  • Preparing agendas and matters arising papers for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Review Board and Committee papers to ensure quality of papers and consistency with Optus’ internal delegations' framework.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and arrange Board and Committee meetings.
  • Taking quality minutes, and following up on matters arising from meetings.
  • Managing company secretarial software access rights and privileges, and distributing papers.
  • Assisting with improvements in Company Secretariat processes, including precedents and templates.


Your skills to pay the bills
 

  • Proven experience in Company Secretariat practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of the role of a Company Secretary
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and operate independently.
