Optus Enterprise & Business provides a high level of technical support and post-sales delivery services to clients – this involves design, implementation, support, and resolution to complex problems relating to network, IP Telephony, security, systems, storage, and wireless solutions.

Encompassing a consultancy and policy components relating to Optus network technologies, the Senior Network Engineer will provide comprehensive design, solution build/ implementation, prioritisation and technical support to the sales and pre-sales team, assist and mentor mid-level engineers.

• Undertaking system analysis, technical design, implementation, and maintenance of solutions applied to customer’s environment to provide technical leadership in the execution of project implementation.
• Work with implementation teams and the customer, providing systems and network design and implementation support to ensure smooth and effective migration to new technology.
• Provide tech support to clients through dealing with sophisticated service queries and problems ensuring that customer expectations are clearly exceeded.
• Liaise closely with the Pre-Sales Solution Architects to ensure accurate prioritisation and service pricing of solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Optus Quality and Project Management Systems, Key Business Processes to maintaining high standards of technical and professional contribution to Optus.

It starts with you!

• Tertiary qualifications in a computer science, information technology or related field.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of related technical experience with relevant vendor certifications.
• Extensive technical experience in design and deployment of medium to large enterprise or campus networks using Cisco, Aruba or Juniper technologies.
• Experience in design-deployment of SD-WAN Technologies from Meraki, Viptela, Fortinet, VeloCloud, Aruba (Silverpeak) or Palo Alto.
• Proven knowledge and experience of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS/IS, plus available understanding and exposure to IPV4 and IPV6.
• Strong dedication to quality and support of quality assurance systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer relationship building skills, underpinned by high level analytical and problem-solving skills.
