The role is a key member of the Analytics, and Insights Team and is responsible for supporting Consumer Business Segment, Analytics and Insights team’s ETL processes and development of data pipelines and automations. The candidate is to take ownership for designing and implementing data processing applications, and solutions for data cleansing, mapping, transformation and logging by leveraging Singtel’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and other data sources.

 

The role will provide the candidate with an opportunity to develop design and develop large complex data marts to support business user exploration, predictive modelling by data scientists and BI tool multi-dimensional data visualisation. The candidate must be comfortable with working with large and complex datasets, integrating data from multiple systems to provide solutions for the various internal stakeholders.

The candidate needs to provide end-to-end ETL support throughout lifecycle of projects – requirements gathering, operationalising ETL pipelines, troubleshooting efforts post-production. The candidate also has the opportunity to discover new insights and problem areas with analytics to initiate improvement projects that drive cost reduction, improve customer experience and/or enhance operations efficiencies.

Secondary responsibility in Configuration Management - including updating, maintaining, and

verifying of CIs ensuring accuracy and integrity of the CI information

 

Make an Impact by:

  • Manage day-to-day ETL processes and discover opportunities for data acquisition and developing data set processes, and troubleshoot technical problems faced by the project and operation team
  • Ensure best practices, frameworks and re-useable components are employed in the development project
  • Explore, study and evaluate the various transactional tables and new complex data sources to enhance insights team capabilities to answer complicated business questions
  • Migration of process, jobs, tables from current systems to new Cloud based system
  • Design and develop large complex data marts to support:
    • business user exploration
    • predictive modelling by data scientists
    • Power BI/Tableau multi-dimensional data visualization

 

Skills for Success:

  • Degree in IT/Computer Science/Statistics/Business related
  • 1-3 years in data modelling, data warehousing and multi-dimensional data visualization
  • At least two of the following:
  • Python programming experience or equivalent languages (R, C++)
  • Intermediate SQL programming
  • Sound knowledge in RDBMS
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Self-starter
  • Team player
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
