As a Business Development Director, you serve as a growth engine by generating new business and acquiring new accounts. This can be achieved through account planning, territory planning, researching and prospecting both customers and partners, using business development techniques and various field sales activities for large and untap segments

You will part of a Client Service Unit team that will be driving hybrid and complex IT solutions and services to the customers. You will interact and collaborate with a diverse and rich list of partners (both hardware and software). You will build a strong customer relationship and be a trusted advisor to them. 

 

When working on opportunities, you will advocate, orchestrate and motivate the extended sales and bid team. What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain trusted relationship with client key stakeholders
  • Develop deep understanding of client industry and client needs to anticipate suitable offerings
  • Originate and pospect new opportunities to develop a robust sales pipeline for assigned account(s)
  • Work collaboratively with Account Director / Manager to qualify opportunities and support sales conversion activities
  • Develop and execute strategic plan for your assigned territory to meet sales targets
  • Maximise leverage of partner eco-system within your assigned territory
  • Timely and accurate update of opportunities, customer information, forecast to deliver credible management report
  • Engage with customer, Service providers and partners and become a rainmaker and a deal maker.
  • Builds and influences relationship with sales leaders, solution practice leads, delivery leaders and internal support functions to develop new opportunities
  • Determines business requirements, understands critical business success factors, solution mapping, timeline and position current market solutions and offering 
  • In tune and updated with market and competitor offering, in order to provide competitive analysis to the bid team during the bid phase.
  • Present proposals to customers, partners and account teams

 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years experience in sales or business development (with frequent customer facing activities) is required
  • Strong background in sales and business development with customer facing sales experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge in various IT solution and complex deals
  • Quick learner of technology and the value it drives help customer address business challenges
  • Passionate about customer success
  • Possesses the ability to articulate business value to senior executive and decision maker
  • Ability to convert technical language into business oriented and value driven conversation
  • Strong sales and business acumen in planning, organizing, information integration and communication, swift decision making 
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Prior coverage with Enterprise and Transport industry would be advantageous
