As Business Development Manager, Enterprise Platforms, you will pitch to global telcos, enterprises and satellite operators to adopt Singtel’s Paragon Platforms for their local or global businesses.  You are expected to shortlist potential telcos, identify key stakeholders and decision makers for each telco, before pitching and selling Paragon’s value propositions to them, with the objective to onboard global telcos onto the Paragon platforms.


Your responsibilities will also include drafting the trial and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts to closure, by working closely with internal and external stakeholders including Tax, Finance, Legal, IT / Innovation and Business units.  You will also be organizing and participating in roadshows and events to promote and create awareness of Paragon in the local and global market.


Make an Impact by

  • Select and shortlist target global telcos and global enterprises
  • Identify key stakeholder and decision makers for each of the telco
  • Pitch to each telco on Paragon’s key features and value propositions
  • Draft proposals – both trial and commercial
  • Negotiate contracts to closure, working with internal and external stakeholders such as Tax, Finance and Legal
  • Initiate and organize marketing events with selected partners to promote to the market for greater awareness
  • Draft press release to announce major contract signing
  • Maintain good relationship with the senior leadership team for each telco so to ensure long-term relationship with each telco


Skills for Success


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/MBA with business development and sales experience in technology, telecommunication or software related industry
  • An understanding of key 5G and public / private cloud technologies and products, platform concepts
  • Strong presentation, sales, written communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
  • Ability to prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team
  • Ownership and accountability; create appropriate action plans for those goals depending on business reality.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and business organization
  • Good business judgement and the demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
  • Expertise in Business Development and Sales related areas
  • Industry awareness – prior Telco and Cloud related experience preferred
  • Experience building Go-To-Market plans that scale across an organization and sales enablement
  • Track record of signing and managing high value and high profile global contracts
