Business Manager Strategy & Performance - amaysim 🧡

About the Role 

The Business Manager Strategy & Performance supports the Head of Commercial - amaysim (CCO), across a range of initiatives from the coordination of strategic programs through to the preparation of key pieces of communication. You will also act as a representative of the SLT at key meetings and in chairing key initiatives.

 

Key responsibilities include :

  • Provide support to the CCO to ensure the SLT remains focused on delivering key strategic initiatives
  • Maintain a forward view of major deliverables for amaysim as we work through each set of 90-day priorities, ensuring the requirements for these deliverables are managed in a timely fashion and to an exacting standard
  • Prepare/coordinate briefing notes on key issues and meetings
  • Manage special projects across amaysim including frameworks or business models, business reviews etc
  • Prepare/coordinate key reports and presentations for the CCO

 

Your major challenges include:

  • Working in an environment with constant change and diverse challenges in a competitive market, whilst playing a major role in the development and communication of the growth strategy within the business
  • Building strong relationships with business partners at executive level within amaysim, Optus and externally to influence and deliver outstanding outcomes
  • Rapidly synthesising disparate information sources and clearly articulate key findings and outcomes
  • Linking high level strategy with granular activities, concisely articulate impacts and influence business direction, alignment, and outcomes
  • Building a deep understanding of customer base and market through customer insights and market research

 

 

About You

We are  looking for the following skills, attributes and experience

  • 5-7 years in a similar or related role        
  • Telecommunications industry exposure  
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline        
  • Consulting and/or strategy and project management and delivery
  • Strong commercial acumen and numeracy skills        
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills                
  • Solving complex business problems        
  • Very strong written communication skills in both long form and in presentations
  • Numeracy skills and an ability to interpret management reports and provide insights
  • Detailed understanding of commercial concepts and processes
  • Strong executive presence and confidence in dealing with senior leaders across the organisation
  • Demonstrates experience in solving complex business issues

 

You are most likely a business and strategy consultant with experience in a similar role and a desire to work inhouse and see your work through from beginning to end. Your key strengths focus on your ability and experience providing analysis, insights and targeted communication to Executive Leadership teams. You are comfortable with working with executive evel stakeholders and can manage their expectations.
