You'll be a key technical expert, mentoring the team, driving continuous improvement, and helping keep our network running at its best.
What You'll Do
- Provide Level 2 assurance and delivery support across network systems including transmission, mobile, switching, and IP — attending multiple exchange sites to meet SLA requirements

- Mentor, coach, and knowledge-share with Network Engineers, field cadets, and new starters to support their technical development
- Lead root cause analysis and contribute to process improvement initiatives in line with LEAN and continuous improvement principles
- Review and approve Permits to Work (PTWs) and change requests, and manage contractor activities to meet KPIs and best-cost solutions
- Support disaster response activities including deployment and recovery of SatCats and portable generators when required
What makes you perfect for the role?
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent working experience)
- At least 10 years' experience in telecommunications, with a strong background in transmission network deployment, Ethernet, IP routing, and legacy equipment
- Hands-on experience with Helix, NeoSDR, and NSM systems, along with IP configuration of LAN ports and use of FTP/HTTP protocols
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical faults across multiple sites, disciplines, and platforms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and remain calm under pressure
- Working experience in exchanges or data centres, with knowledge of power systems and facility support systems highly regarded
