The Collection Executive is responsible for managing customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.This role supports the end-to-end collections process, including engaging with customers, resolving billing enquiries, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to address issues efficiently. The position plays an important role in supporting healthy cash flow, reducing aged debt, and ensuring a consistent and professional customer experience.
Make an Impact by
- Managing assigned customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances and accurate account reconciliation
- Handling complex or high-value cases, including negotiation of payment arrangements and resolution of escalated issues
- Supporting end-to-end collections and dispute resolution processes while meeting performance targets and service standards
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues and improve customer outcomes
- Monitoring account status, maintaining accurate customer records, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Preparing regular reports on debt status and providing insights to support decision-making
- Identifying accounts requiring escalation, dispute handling, or external recovery actions
- Contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce aged debt, and strengthen collections practices
- Supporting team operations through knowledge sharing, cross-training, and maintaining continuity during peak periods
Skills for Success
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in Telecommunications Credit environment with demonstrated Finance/Risk Analytics experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with billing or financial systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Good to Have
- Experience in telecommunications or a related industry
- Exposure to dispute resolution or risk management processes
- Familiarity with large datasets and reconciliation processes
