Your day to day will consist of...

The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for the management of the Reporting function including:

  • Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely monthly reporting packs, statutory financial reporting and regulatory returns
  • Support the end to end delivery of the Optus statutory audit and related group and Audit Committee reporting.
  • Establish, maintain accounting policies across Optus
  • Responsible for the delivery of monthly accurate and timely statutory financial reporting and regulatory returns, in both SGAAP and AGAAP.
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements for the Group, as well as entity financial statements, annexures, and notes.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Reporting function, identifying areas for enhancement in processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Degree qualified within Commerce, Business or Accounting with a CA / CPA
  • Solid understanding of SAP4HANA / TM1/PowerBI/ O365
  • Prior experience in large and/or corporate organisation
  • Experience within a Financial Accounting role
