The Sys Admin is responsible for managing day to day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents and changes meeting customer’s requirements and Service Level Agreements. He/she will also provide support to the System engineer/team lead based on tasks assigned and not limited to:

 

  • conduct health check, conduct infrastructure monitoring, handle customer queries, investigate incidents reported, resolve the incidents, apply fixes, and to ensure that incidents reported are tracked and resolved till closure
  • cooperate with internal/external stakeholders to achieve work/task objectives set out by the system engineer/team lead/Managers.
  • Install/configure software/hardware, manage servers/tools
  • Setup accounts (AD or non-AD), laptops, workstations, servers
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements 
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Analysing, troubleshooting, and correcting system problems remotely/on-site
  • Responsible for documenting incident RCA report the configuration of the system and system performance tuning
  • Responsible for security compliance, patching, health check & hardening remediation
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software and perform system devices backups
  • Performing standard or project change request as per change window (non-business hours)
  • Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
  • Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis

 

Skills for Success:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in Windows/VMware support and maintenance
  • Good to be certified: ITILv3 Foundation / Microsoft Windows Server Administration / Microsoft Azure
