Singapore Telecommunications Ltd’s Legal Department is looking for a talented lawyer to support Singtel’s emerging business unit Enterprise Platforms that is part of Singtel Digital Infra Co business encompassing 5G and cloud/edge computing platforms, with a focus on sales and collaboration. The successful candidate will provide general legal assistance including reviewing, negotiating, and drafting a wide variety of contracts, including platform sales agreements, licensing agreements, professional services agreements, reseller agreements, customer agreements and responses to requests for proposals. Additionally, he or she will work directly with the business and provide advice to cross-functional stakeholders on legal issues and risks, intellectual property rights and company policies. On occasion, he or she may be required to manage legal disputes and conduct training for the business.
 

Make an Impact by

  • Provide accurate, prompt and robust legal advice to the business unit, acting always in a pro-active manner.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, with a particular focus on contracts for the Telco, ICT and Software Platforms space. Experience in working on sales and procurement contracts is an added advantage.
  • Provide legal education and training to the business unit as needed, identifying any gaps which need to be addressed.
  • Work collaboratively with other stakeholders within Singtel to ensure internal policy and corporate governance is adhered to.
  • Possess excellent client relationship skills with keen interest in learning and understanding the business, its drivers and the operations
  • Being a team player, and willingness to explore and learn new skillsets.
  • Provide support, advice, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on legal issues including IPR and risk implication.

Skills for Success

  • Law degree (Singapore or other recognized law school)
  • Both in-house and private practice experience, ideally in Singapore
  • Called to the Bar
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in drafting, thoroughly reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • Professional level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Quickly gain sound knowledge of company legal policies and contract policies
  • Team player, self-starter, detail oriented and thorough.
  • Aptitude for working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
