Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called “The Catalyst Programme” which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in BEng Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. This programme is open to Singtel’s internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the Engineering domain. Make an Impact by

• Design, develop, and maintain control systems for power, cooling, and security in data centres.
• Implement SCADA, BMS (Building Management System), and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring System) solutions.
• Ensure real-time monitoring and automation of critical infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control logic, sensors, and automation protocols.
• Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to enhance system reliability.
• Ensure compliance with data centre standards.
• Develop documentation, SOPs, and training for operations teams.

Skills for Success

• A diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Building Services.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and internal team.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and within tight deadlines
