The SGO Country Director is expected to lead a team of highly skilled local team in achieving the following objectives:
1.    Represent and further Singtel’s interests in the country.
2.    Generate revenue and profits growth for the country. Accountable for meeting and exceeding financial targets for the country.
3.    Manage Singtel’s customer base , and relationship with local service providers and partners in the country.
4.    Provide guidance and leadership to local team with the objective to achieve company’s goal.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for financial performance of country including revenue, profitability, credit management etc. Ensuring compliance to both local statutory requirement and corporate polices  
  • Grow the business by achieving revenue and profitability growth targets. Build High Performance Sales Team with Sales Directors.
  • Planning and executing various business and sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with local regulatory authorities, telco partners, service providers  and business partners of Singtel.
  • Direct engagement with senior management of top and key customers.
  • Manage and operate the SGO efficiently and effectively. Oversees all business functions including sales, account management, marketing, presales, technical support, finance, human resources and administrations of SGO office with the support of HQ shared service support.  The Country Director is required to give guidance to his/her team , as well as ensure compliance with HQ policies.
  • Negotiate with local suppliers, service providers, channels, distributors and dealers to advance Singtel's business objectives, either in reducing business costs, enlarging markets or improvements in other areas.
  • Serve as a funnel of market information and intelligence on developments in the SGO country that have an impact on Singtel's interests.
  • Serve as a channel to facilitate or introduce or develop new business initiatives either from HQ or from the  SGO country.
  • Execute or carry out other duties as required by HQ management units.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or MBA in any discipline.
  • About 10 years’ experience in Sales and Account Management in multinational Telco or SI with 5 years experience in managerial position.
  • Knowledge on telecommunication network including voice, data, WAN, datacentre and network infrastructure technologies.
  • Knowledge on ICT technologies and services including  unified communications, video conference, IT security, network optimization, cloud etc.
  • Experience in IoT and Cloud industry preferred.
  • Understanding of managed services competition and market landscape
  • Knowledge in finance and legal would be advantageous.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of business forecasting.
  • Strong experience in account planning and account management of global account.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships at senior levels of MNC customers and partners.
  • With good grounding in managing finance, cash flow, credit management, financial prudence and investment considerations.
  • Be able to lead, motivate and groom a team of skilled account management, sales, technical, administrative & finance staff to execute Singtel’s plans and business initiatives.
  • Be able to work effectively in local business environment as well as with customers, local staff, partners, associates, regulatory authorities and suppliers.
  • Resourceful, independent, with strong collaboration skills in working with diverse stakeholders at different geography under a matrix reporting organization structure.
  • Prior experience at management position is required.
