How You will Make An Impact:

 

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable portfolio for assigned corporate customers.
  • Monitor customer accounts and proactively identify credit risks, overdue balances, and potential bad debt exposures while implementing timely collection strategies to minimize delinquency.
  • Engage customers through professional collection activities, including payment follow-ups, reconciliation of accounts, dispute resolution, and ensuring accurate posting of payments.
  • Collaborate internally with Sales, Billing, Finance, and Network teams to resolve billing disputes, pricing issues, service-related disputes, and other matters that impact collections and customer experience.
  • Review and assess requests for sales order releases.
  • Execute service suspension and restoration activities in accordance with company credit policies while maintaining appropriate customer communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments by analysing financial statements, payment behaviour, and credit exposure to evaluate customer creditworthiness.
  • Lead and facilitate Debt Review meetings with Sales and key business stakeholders to review aged receivables, identify collection strategies, and drive action plans for key accounts.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly aging reports, collection performance dashboards, credit exposure reports, and management reports to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain strong governance by ensuring compliance with internal credit policies, financial controls, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support both internal and external audit activities by providing timely documentation, analysis, and responses to audit queries.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline credit management processes and enhance operational efficiency through automation and system enhancements.
  • Perform other ad-hoc assignments and projects as required.

 

Skills to succeed in the role

 

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience in Credit Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections, or a related finance function.
  • Strong understanding of credit assessment principles, accounts receivable processes and collections.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across various business functions and build positive customer relationships.
  • Proactive, customer-focused, and able to manage challenging conversations professionally.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with SAP system or credit management platforms will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated team player with a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to embrace change.
