The company has an ambitious Digital plan in place to grow their digital capabilities, including their ability to deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVP) based solutions in an agile manner, complemented by a data strategy to support the digital transformation.


The Data Governance and Tech Lead is to drive maximum data value for the Group Enterprise by identifying, managing and leveraging data as corporate asset, and roll out their BU-wide Data Governance Operating Framework, with a focus on improvement of data governance and data quality through modifications of organisation behaviour, policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes and related tools.  The BU Data Governance Lead is accountable for managing the data elements of their business unit, ensuring compliance to governance policies, business data definitions, set SLA requirements, support business units’ monetisation strategies, funding, etc.


You will work with dynamic digital colleagues in the Business Transformation Office as well as engage key business stakeholders within Group Enterprise and across the data practioners across the Group, focused on bringing value to customers and stakeholders through new technologies, new ways of working, to deliver digital-first experience that drives new revenue streams and accelerates existing product lines with innovative features and drive automation of operations. 


You will lead the technology team comprising of data scientist, data engineers, UI/UX designers and developers and work with SCRUM Masters and agile project managers and together with the business and IT teams, design, build and roll-out products that deliver on our core product vision and strategy.  You will also lead lead engineering discussions in building the product. 

Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas include: 
1.    Drive the data analytics and governance agenda for the B2B business in Singtel:
2.    Lead the technology team to support the execution of digital initiatives of the Business Transformation Office
3.    Advocate strong technology and business thought leadership
4.    Tech enabler to deliver incremental EBITDA benefits from top line growth and efficiency improvement 


Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimally a Bachelor Degree from established university in Engineering or Business Analytics


Desired Experience: 

  • Proven ability to deliver digital transformations in large corporations with complex IT legacy systems
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in tech or telco, with at least 5-6 years in managerial capacity leading tech and/or data teams
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in conceptualizing and delivering data analytics projects and data governance
  • Successful track record of acting as a change agent, embedding new capability across an organization
  • Proven experience in embedding agile methodologies across a corporate organization    
  • Led and organized management workshops
  • Experience engaging or working in the startup environment


Technical / Professional Skills    

  • Cross-functional / BU understanding ; Domain expertise in organization structures
  • Strong understanding of the IT environment and technology Domain expertise in organization structures
  • Strong Project management skills
  • Understanding and having work with data and analytics
  • Conversant and have experience with UI/UX and customer experience
  • Able to lead and conduct workshops with senior stakeholders, customers and team members on the ground
  • Deep appreciation of digital technologies of AI/ML and cloud
  • Problem solving skills   
  • Financial reporting and development of business case

  • Able to communicate and work with senior leaders across the business units
