DevOps Engineer - amaysim 🧡

About the role

DevOps engineers maintain and build our cloud infrastructure, improve the developer experience and act as a technical escalation. They should be comfortable working in with product and engineering teams to ensure our ways of working are followed and improved on.

They provide input into our devops and technology strategy and keep up with technology trends and openly discuss with the broader team about applicability to our environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advanced AWS and code infrastructure support for software engineers and other members of the business
• Provide L3 (highest) level of technical escalation for incidents and cloud based technology concerns
• Ensuring incidents do not become problems, proactive suggestions and improvements
• Fostering a culture of innovation, learning and professional development within your team and the wider organization
• Mentor and empower other engineers to build and own resilient, secure cloud native applications

About you

You are an experienced DevOps engineer who possess' the below experience and skills:

• Experience working in a DevOps team in the technology sector
• Demonstrable experience managing and configuring public cloud environments
• Hands on experience maintaining production workloads on AWS
• High proficiency in SQL and database design
• Notable alignment to amaysim company values, reliability, empathy, agility and simplicity
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
