DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure Manager - amaysim 🧡

About the role

 

The DevOps & Cloud Manager is responsible for setting the DevOps and Cloud Strategy for the business, ensuring that it aligns into the overall Technology Strategy. They own the DevOps and Cloud roadmap to ensure engineers are working in a best of breed modern software development environment, operational KPI’s are met and exceeded, and systems and platforms are secure and resilient.

 

This role will take a lead in ensuring the business is evaluating and adopting modern best-practices when it comes to Cloud and DevOps, evangelizing these into the wider Technology team and ensuring that guardrails and other tooling is in place to assist in improving our ability to continuously deliver and streamline Developer Experience.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Set and own the DevOps and Cloud vision and strategy for amaysim.
  • Assist in prioritising the DevOps and Cloud roadmap as well as other initiatives that require the teams support as part of the 90 day delivery cadence
  • Evangelise best-of-breed DevOps and Cloud practices into the wider Technology team and establishing patterns and guardrails
  • Help the high performing devops team grow individually and collectively by mentoring, coaching and guiding
  • Ensure we maintain a high cadence of production releases combined with putting downward pressure on ‘at fault’ incidents
  • Evaluation and assessment of key Operational Technology platforms and products

 

 

 

About you

 

You are an experienced DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure Manager who possess' the below experience and skills:

  • Substantial experience leading a devops team or similar technology function
  • Experience in a high growth tech company or small start up as a snr dev ops engineer
  • Hands on experience running production workloads in a public cloud environment
  • Deep knowledge AWS experience and knowledge
  • Notable alignment to amaysim company values, reliability, empathy, agility and simplicity
