Responsibilities
- The Director for Group Property will lead the project team and be overall responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of Singtel’s development and building projects.
- Lead team and provide mentorship and guidance to managers and executives
- Manage the development of design concepts/ options for projects, including conceptualising development design requirements and formulating design briefs
- Oversee project timelines from planning, feasibility study, detail design for implementation and completion of projects including tracking and expediting for schedule adherence
- Manage consultants and contractors and liaise with all relevant authorities for approval of projects, manage the tender and award processes, as well as construction and contract administration
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of projects that is within budget, schedule, of quality and in compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance
- Provide leadership, mentoring, professional guidance, direction and supervision to other internal team member on all development and project management matters
- Keep abreast of changing landscape and plan for refresh of property
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building and related disciplines
- At least 12 years of experience and knowledge in contracts management, planning, design and implementation of building projects in Singapore, preferably in the commercial office sector
- At least 7 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams
- Working experience and knowledge of government policies, functions and requirements of various key agencies and regulatory framework of development projects
- Good knowledge of design and seeks continuous improvement to design and processes, questioning the status quo or value engineering to achieve the optimum desired outcome
- Possess collaborative communication style and influential skills
- Proven ability of people leadership with successful people management experience
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Self-motivated & ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Analytical and possess good creative thinking and problem-solving skills
