The Director is performing a strategic interface between IT and Consumer SG, Network, International Group & GDL for all projects’ management. He/she is responsible for managing a group of IT Project Managers to deliver the approved projects on time, within budget & scope.

 

The Director is also highly involved in annual IT planning, E2E project delivery of Business-IT AOP initiatives covering budget, timeline and balancing the IT project demand and supply management for all Singtel’s Business Units (BUs).

 

Cross Business & IT domains Relationship and Satisfaction:

  1. Act as the strategic interface between IT and BUs, accountable for end-to-end project delivery of IT Solutions & Services via stringent Project Management methodology & governance.
  2. Act as the point of escalation to the BUs leadership for all IT Projects’ strategic and tactical IT matters.
  3. Provide clear projects’ directions and establish strong relationship with all assigned BUs.  Act as an advisor in project matters, if needed.
  4. Establish and foster effective, collaborative working relationships across IT, and coordinate project work between various teams within IT

    Project Portfolio Planning and Management

  1. Involve in the AOP planning activities for the assigned BUs
  2. Manage the delivery of project and accountable for project Scope, financial and timelines
  3. Maintain oversight of the delivery performance of the project portfolios of the assigned BUs and drive the actions to address performance issues.
  4. Track, report and review the performance of the project portfolio on a regular basis with the business (actual vs plan for project phasing and delivery and budget)

 

Leadership and People Management

  1. Manage and direct the activities of direct and indirect (virtual team members) resources to ensure that deadlines, standards and cost targets are met
  2. Define and regularly track progress of team member(s) objectives and KPIs
  3. Grow and develop team and adapt management style to situational needs
  4. Lead and drive improvements in employee engagement and capability
  5. Conform and promote conformance to the company’s governance processes, policies and procedures.

 

Financial Management

  1. Contribute to defining and managing the IT BP divisional capital and operational budgets.

Partner with the business stakeholders to develop and manage the IT budget to deliver maximum business value within financial and operational constraints and provide cost transparency to the business

 

Requirement:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent experience
  • Managed technically complex, diverse functions within similar organizations
  • Lead large-scale projects/portfolios
  • Managed senior stakeholder relationships within similar organisations
  • Extensive experience  managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Lead business transformations, particularly leading teams without direct line management control.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Projects, Office Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Visio and Project
  • Strong Project Governance

  • Strong influencer across BUs and IT delivery domains
  • Meticulous

  • Strong Project Risk Assessment

Good to have:

  • Extensive, large scale IT Project Management, Business Program Management and/or Product Development experience
  • Telecommunications industry experience
  • Managing C-level stakeholder relationships
  • Deep knowledge of the assigned BU processes/activities, preferably gained from an operational role within that or a similar BU.
