As Director, NBN amaysim and based at amaysim HQ, you’ll join a collaborative team where you can have visible impact, shape what’s next for the business and help deliver the next chapter of growth.

You’ll hold holistic accountability for developing and delivering the NBN product, portfolio and pricing strategy for amaysim. You have strong leadership abilities, influencing across the amaysim team and broader Optus organisation. You have a deep knowledge of the telecommunications market and proven experience in driving strong commercial outcomes.

 

The Day to Day

  • Own and deliver the strategic NBN product roadmap, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations, and Engineering to create products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Lead product performance, profitability, pricing, and competitor analysis, translating insights into commercial strategies that maximise market competitiveness and long-term value.
  • Identify future growth opportunities and mitigate potential risks through ongoing market intelligence, customer insight, and strategic planning.
  • Partner with stakeholders across amaysim and Optus to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives and long-term organisational priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while championing a customer-centric culture, driving accountability, influencing business decisions, and fostering strong leadership across the organisation. 

 

What You Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline, with 8+ years' leadership experience in the Australian telecommunications industry, particularly across NBN products and services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in product strategy, pricing, profitability analysis, revenue growth, market share management, and business case development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex product, commercial, technical, or strategic initiatives, translating market, customer, and financial insights into successful business outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and present to SLT, ExCo, partners, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Strategic and customer-focused leader with a track record of building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and delivering sustainable growth in a competitive market.
