Director, Specialist Sales (Cloud Business)

The role is responsible to lead a Sales team for the cloud business across the Enterprise Business of Singtel in Singapore. The primary segment coverage of this role will be across multiple large and primarily Singapore headquartered companies.

 

You will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of Cloud adoption encompassing the public, private and the hybrid landscape. You will be responsible to ensure best fit cloud solutions are positioned to our key customers and the segment you are leading with an intention for them to accelerate adoption and provide business value. The mission is to establish Singtel as the trusted cloud transformation and managing partner through their IT transformation plans.

 

The role includes and is not limited to the below:

 

  • Be accountable for the overall health of the business for the identified segment with sustainable business growth being the key area of focus
  • Lead and coach a team of sales specialists to drive deals and solution selling in for the cloud business
  • Work closely with the with the respective account leads/directors of the segment and develop joint GTM plans to address market needs
  • Support and coach the team to ensure that they are equipped with the relevant skills and capabilities for the present and the foreseeable future
  • Represent the designated business segment’s customer needs strategically and appropriately to internal teams and thereby influence GTM strategies for the segment.
  • Engage with customer CXOs and CXO-1 and be responsible for strategic customer engagement within the segment
  • Lead and encourage the team to create and pursue larger and strategic opportunities with customers thereby elevating the mindshare and wallet share of Singtel
  • Focus on periodic management business reporting and be able to independently drive committed outcomes from the team in order to meet business goals
  • Drive strategic initiatives across the designated segment in order to accelerate momentum and ensure outcomes are being monitored and reported.
  • Provide insight and have a penchant for creative problem solving / deal structuring to represent Singtel in the best manner in front of customers

 

Requirements:

  • Possess, a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Computing or Technology related field
  • More than 12 years of experience with minimum 5 years experience as a sales leader
  • Experience working with multiple principals/partners especially public cloud providers
  • Knowledge of Technology Modernisation of Infrastructure and  applications like data analytics, networking and security.
  • Experienced in Advisory, consulting and Managed Services selling
  • Display business maturity, rapport, credibility and dependability dealing with Client management
  • Experience in negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve a win-win situation
  • Knowledge of transformation impact to businesses and thereby having the ability to advise customers accordingly
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Excellent verbal communication and Conflict Management skills
