In your role as a Director of Supplier Relationship Management at Optus, you will lead the Commercial Supplier Management program. You will handle the most intricate and valuable vendor relationships. This position presents an outstanding opportunity to connect with vendor C-Suite executives and foster collaboration across the enterprise on strategic supplier projects.
What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of

Conduct business reviews with Tier-1 vendors and key stakeholders to review business outlook, contract issues, technology roadmap, and performance.

Build and sustain senior executive business connections with vendor C-Suite leaders and global account executives.

Manage Tier-1 strategic suppliers against the enterprise Supplier Management framework and calendar.

Resolve complex commercial and relationship issues in partnership with Business Units within stipulated timeframes.

Evaluate Tier-1 supplier performance regularly, providing structured feedback and tracking improvement action plans.

Lead the development of high-value technology partnerships and joint-go-to-market initiatives with Tier-1 suppliers.

Support implementation of supplier-related recommendations and ESG procurement commitments.
What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role?

Proven track record of establishing and leading enterprise SRM programs, supplier scorecards, and governance frameworks for Tier-1 strategic suppliers.

Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging vendor C-Suite executives.

Advanced commercial competence with the ability to lead complex, high-value negotiations, contract amendments, and dispute resolutions.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting tools and data-driven decision-making.

Outstanding communication and facilitation skills to lead executive-level business reviews and deliver compelling presentations.

Demonstrated ability to convene and lead cross-functional teams, driving collaboration across business units.

Experience managing difficult, complex vendor relationships and resolving challenging commercial situations.

Experience in telecommunications, technology, or complex B2B service environments preferred.

Experience combining third party risk management and sustainability strategies into the management of suppliers.
