The Domain Architect for Customer Identity Verification and Access Management (CIAM) works closely with the Corporate Shared Services and CIAM Product Team to achieve the following objectives:
- Define the Customer Identity Verification and Access Management roadmap for Optus including all lines of business such as Retail, Consumers, Wholesale and Optus Enterprise.
- Lead initiatives to deploy new capability and reference architectures required.
- Provide thought leadership around best practices and new/emerging concepts in the areas of Customer Identity and ensuring compliance with the regulatory obligations.
- Evaluate existing and new solutions as part of CIAM technology implementation strategy and work out plans to rollout these solutions to support business needs and growth.
- Participate in Customer Identity Management product selection and evaluation activities.
What You’ll Do
The CIAM Domain Architect is accountable for owning the end-to-end customer identity architecture, defining the target-state CIAM vision and ensuring alignment with Zero Trust, regulatory, compliance and business objectives. This includes:
- Setting and governing CIAM architecture standards across identity verification, authentication, authorisation, identity lifecycle, consent, and customer profile management.
- The role architects secure and seamless IDV, passwordless/MFA flows, session and token security, and fine-grained access control models, while integrating CIAM with fraud systems, risk engines, privacy controls, and CMDM.
- The architect leads design assurance for all CIAM initiatives, performing threat modelling, design reviews, and control effectiveness validation, while guiding delivery teams across channels, IT, and network domains.
- Develop flexible, scalable architectures for Customer Identity & Access Management for Digital Technology that adapt to changes in business environments.
- Develop and maintain architecture of Customer Identity Management blueprint for Digital Technology to illustrate architectural complexities and interactions.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and expertise through active participation in training and development programs, review of professional publications, access to personal networks and participating in professional organisations
- Support Mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies across Customer Identity Verification and Access Management team.
- Review and approve high level & detailed designs to ensure that the solution delivers to the business and regulatory needs and at the same time, aligns to the Customer Identity and Access Management principles & roadmap.
What You’ll Bring
- 5-7 years experience including previous roles
- Technical/interpersonal skills and leadership
- 15+ years defining and maintaining Customer Identity Verification & Access Management of architecture and solutions.
- 5+ years’ experience in deployment of large, distributed platforms.
- Strong technical knowledge of architectural patterns
- Knowledge of Enterprise Customer Identity Management of architecture patterns and how to and where to apply them
- Solution Delivery experience in Waterfall, Agile and Iterative model
- Solid understanding of architectural best practices with experience implementing large digital platforms.
- Experience on Identity Management Platform with different Standards of Implementation.
