Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called “The Catalyst Programme” which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in BEng Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. This programme is open to Singtel’s internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the Engineering domain. Candidates will be offered a specific role as the one shared below. Are you ready for this challenge?

 

Make an Impact by

  • Assist in planning and managing Data Centre High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical system maintenance tasks, helping ensure work is completed as scheduled.
  • Support the implementation of maintenance measures in line with industry standards and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate daily with third-party vendors, helping to monitor performance and adherence to SLAs.
  • Provide support during emergency and critical events, assisting senior engineers in responding to on-site incidents and resolving facility issues.
  • Help coordinate on-site upgrade or tech refresh projects, including support for new infrastructure projects.
  • Focus on upskilling in the latest data center technology and participate in on-the-job training to gain industry knowledge and experience.
  • Report any technical issues or escalations to the Data Centre Maintenance Lead for guidance.

 

Skills for Success

 

  • A completed diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to work effectively to all electrical system issues.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
