This role is for Data Centre to manage Data Centre operations.

 

Make an Impact by:

 

  • Ensure effective and efficient management of day-to-day 24x7 Data Centre Operations.
  • Ensure the Data Centre is compliant with all relevant security policies and procedures. Oversee all aspects of the Data Centre's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to a high quality and without impact to internal/external customers.
  • Maintain the centralized policy and procedures documentation and process flows for the function and controls. Monitor and facilitate documentation of new of changes to policies and procedures.
  • Generating of reports for management review.
  • Ensure delivery processes are efficient and cost effective. Make recommendations on hardware equipment and software maintenance and licensing to maximize revenue at least cost.
  • Supervise and lead the outsourced service providers to ensure day to day facilities management, maintenance of systems, service and the processes are consistently kept at high standard to support our operational requirements.
  • Plan, Support and execute comprehensive facility management programs for all M & E systems and services of the buildings
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to have appropriate staffing at operation centre by accurately forecasting work volumes based of maintenance and break-fixes trends.
  • Ensure correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete.
  • Work with internal / external auditors to ensure Data Centre is compliant with the in-scope certifications standards.
  • Support incident management and participates in outage calls towards resolutions that balance risk while maximizing uptime/performance objectives.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during an incident.
  • Provides timely diagnosis of problems and events and provides follow-up or escalations when necessary. Act as liaison to other departments to resolve issues when necessary.
  • Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders. 

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Data Centers, Telecommunication, IT discipline
  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in Data Centers or similar environment experience.
  • Knowledgeable of building facilities Electrical & Mechanical (HVAC, CCTV, security access, BMS Fire protection system).
  • Relevant DC discipline certification and accreditation.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business objectives
  • Knowledge of test equipment such as circuit tester, Optical Power Meter etc.
  • Knowledge in using Data Center Infrastructure Management Systems & Building Management System
  • Project & Inventories Management
  • Experience and knowledge of structured cabling of fibres and copper cables
