Associate Director, DCFM Infrastructure

The successful incumbent will 

  • Support and align with Singtel’s business growth and goals by assisting Data Center Infrastructure Optimisation (DCIO) Director to lead the pre-sales solution and project implementation team
  • Take charge and manage allocated expenditures are well within allocation for implementation across all Singtel data centres
  • Review and advise all proposals are in full compliances with the local authorities standards or policies and to also meet client’s requirement


Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Manage the department by providing leadership, coaching, training, and mentorship and overall development of the employees.
  • Manage resources in manpower, capital and operating expenses within the team. Ensure resources are leveraged at the most optimum, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Monitors overall performance of the various teams (Operation, Engineering and Governance).
  • Monitors and evaluates employee performance; develops employee skills through training and OJT.
  • Write and deliver performance reviews for staff
  • Work with Procurement on all the tender processes and internal team on the specifications/requirements, to ensure all contracts and tenders are process in accordance to Singtel’s policies. Work with Project team on submitted tender, evaluate feasibility, life cycle cost and maintenance requirements of the design, equipment and services rendered.
  • Update senior management on overall performance status and activities for the department.
  • Strategize and lead the department towards centralization, digitalization and data analytical to improve Data Center resiliencies and efficiencies. 


Ideally you should 

  • Possess a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management or related disciplines
  • have at least 15 years of relevant experience in mission critical facilities
  • have knowledge in 
    • Data Centre/Critical Services security management.    
    • authority regulations such as Electrical, ACMV, security, fire and workplace safety    
    • TIA 942, ISO27001, SS 564, OSPAR, TVRA, SOC Type I/II    
  • Experience in dealing with various external stakeholders such as consultants, contractors or service vendors    


It will be an added advantage if you possess professional certifications in any of the following: 

  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager    
  • Fire Safety Manager    
  • Water Efficiency Manager    
  • Licenced Electrical Worker (preference)
